Creating a Care-Centered Economy
Join Rethinking Economics Switzerland for a week of critical exchange, fresh perspectives, and collective learning in the Swiss Alps. This year’s Summer School will critically examine how hegemonic economic structures are reproduced. In response, we will propose care as an organising principle of an alternative economic system. How can we collectively build power to reorganise economies so they sustain people, communities, and ecosystems?
This week offers a space for learning, exchange, and collective care-centred strategy-building. No prior expertise is required, just curiosity and a desire to challenge dominant narratives. Morning sessions introduce key heterodox economic schools, including Feminist Economics, Marxist Economics, and Ecological Economics. In the afternoons, guest speakers share insights into how economic approaches can help us imagine and build alternatives to the status quo.
Whether you’re deeply engaged or just curious, coming from economics, activism, the arts, or any other field, this space is for you.
