Rethinking Economics DMU Dubai – مجلس التعددية في الاقتصاد

Rethinking Economics DMU Dubai is a student- and faculty-led initiative at De Montfort University Dubai. Our mission is to create a Majlis, a space for dialogue and exchange, where diverse perspectives in economics can be explored beyond the mainstream. We aim to foster pluralism, critical thinking and relevance by connecting economics to real-world challenges in the Middle East and beyond. Our activities include student seminars, guest lectures and collaborative workshops with academics and practitioners, focusing on themes such as sustainability, financial inclusion, and the future of economics, finance and accounting education in the UAE. By building a vibrant community of learners, we hope to encourage fresh ideas that reflect both global debates and local contexts.
