Frustrated at what is being taught in your university? Want to gather the evidence for what’s missing in your learning? Sounds like your education is in need of a health check! Run a Curriculum Health Check for your course to find out what’s being taught, what’s not and how to change your learning for the better.
The aim of the ‘Curriculum Health Check’ programme is to assess the economics education at your university in relation to: real-world application; the diversity of the methods and thought that they teach; and the level of engagement with sustainability and the climate crisis. The result of the curriculum health check will be a report on economics education at your university, for your local group to use as a tool to campaign for an economics education that serves people and planet.
The findings of the research into at each individual university can be collated and shared as a broader review of economics curricula across a country or region, to strengthen the campaigning of Rethinking Economics.
