Kritische WirtschaftswissenschaftlerInnen Berlin

We are the Kritische Wirtschaftswissenschaftler*innen at Freie Universität Berlin. We criticise the fact that pedagogy remains largely stuck in frontal teaching and pure knowledge reproduction, without offering space for discussion and critical examination. Every semester we organise a lecture series which, as an official component of the study and examination regulations, brings six credits for the bachelor’s programme. Our group’s annually changing teams sweeten the studies of new generations of economics students. In reading circles and panel discussions we also search for new approaches to shaping the economy and society. We welcome enrichment from all departments and directions, and we are regionally, nationally and internationally networked. Above all, we are a group of curious people who want to learn more about the economy and society, away from pressure to perform and from dogma. In this sense, we warmly invite everyone to join us in the search for a different economy.
