Rethinking Economics Geneve

Rethinking Economics Geneva promotes a pluralist vision of economics within the University of Geneva. It creates a forum dedicated to economics for students of all levels and backgrounds. It currently has two main working groups. The reading team organises reading circles and film screenings; the weekly sessions are dynamic and inclusive spaces where members can engage in discussions around a variety of economic theories, methodologies and ideologies to improve their understanding of the social and economic world, based on critical thinking. The writing team composes texts to popularise an approach to economics that is critical and pluralist and gives a holistic account of empirical reality, that is, without neglecting the social and ecological systems within which economies are integrated; it is currently responsible for a monthly column in a local newspaper. You are more than welcome to join any of our future activities.
