Rethinking Economics Rwanda

Rwanda Rethinking Economics challenges norms, nurturing innovative, equitable and sustainable solutions for Rwanda’s global success. Within the university, we run student-led seminars that encourage alternative economic dialogues and foster critical thought about Rwanda’s economic future; research competitions that spotlight fresh economic models through student contests addressing Rwanda’s unique challenges for sustainable growth; and an economic summit that unites students across universities to share research with stakeholders and policymakers and foster collaborative solutions. More broadly, we run economic empowerment workshops that build financial literacy in communities and spur entrepreneurship and inclusion; a green economy symposium that brings together experts and policymakers to explore green economic practices for Rwanda’s progress; and a youth innovation challenge that catalyses youth-led solutions to Rwanda’s economic issues, with mentoring to turn ideas into reality.
