Rethinking Economics at Trinity College seeks to deconstruct conventional economic thinking and make economics a more accessible and meaningful tool for understanding the world. At a liberal arts institution like Trinity, we are uniquely positioned to approach economics through the intersection of multiple disciplines, so that competing economic theories can be treated as legitimate rather than marginal to a mathematical lens, and so that we can have broader, deeper and more intellectual conversations. We aim to advocate for a pluralistic approach, historically aware and ethically grounded, to change what learning mainstream economics means and to prepare students for the real world.
