Rethinking Economics Zambia

Rethinking Economics Zambia is the national network of students, academics and professionals building a holistic and better economics both in the classroom and in society, providing education in Zambia that is friendly, integrated, robust, critical, real-world in its application and pluralist. We do this through a mix of campaigns, awareness-raising, national gatherings and partnerships. Our objectives include building a community of critical thinkers and writers who are forward-looking economists, and promoting and encouraging pluralist economics and engagement with real-world problems in economics. Rethinking Economics Zambia held a national gathering that brought together twenty students from five higher learning institutions in Zambia under a project called Rethinking Undergraduate Economics Education. The project imparts hands-on experience of how integrated, pluralist economics works, why rethinking economics matters, and skills in leadership. We are based in Lusaka.
