These changes benefit tens of thousands of economics students around the world – providing a more critical, real-world perspective and teaching them about topics they will face in their future careers.
This will benefit our societies, with better understanding of economics and better policymaking. Numerous alumni from our global network are now in the media, government, or working to influence economic policy in think-tanks.
But before achieving changes in economics education and changes in the wider world, student leaders immediately grow in terms of their confidence, leadership and campaigning skills. We measure university group progress with annual reviews of our Group Action Framework together with student leaders.
