Our Services

We run workshops for adult learners, and we work with academic departments, movements and networks seeking organising and critical economics training. With over a decade experience critiquing economics education in higher education, providing alternatives and proposing changes, we have a lot to offer.

Economics training & consultancy

We support teams to learn and strategise on important economic issues. We develop bespoke training and facilitation to build confidence in economic areas that are key to an organisation’s work.

Our approach is rooted in a critical economics perspective developed by our movement in the last 10 years.  We invite people to learn by building upon their own knowledge and lived experiences – while strengthening the bonds in the team.

Organising workshops

We run multi-day workshops with student groups looking to form a network and start campaigning for change. Our organisers use participatory methods and introduce students to our campaign strategy, based on base-building and political education.

Participants in our workshop in Czechia said:

  • “Very inspiring to learn what is possible”
  • “I learned the importance of being strategic”

Curriculum healthcheck

For academic departments, we have developed a sound and tested methodology for reviewing economics, political economy, development studies, accountancy and related course curricula. Based on our vision of a critical, decolonised and climate-conscious education, we’ll do a stock-take of your course, both its content and its form. Then we’ll identify strengths, gaps and areas for improvement in a report. We start and end with a workshop with your team, to help you plot a way forward, including marketing your course.

Guest talks

Want to highlight the need for curricular reform or point out the specific weaknesses in the neoclassical school of thought? Invite a Rethinker from our team or our wider network to deliver a talk – whether it be a guest lecture at your university or a different perspective to your next panel discussion.
